The American Cancer Society hosts the “Great American Smokeout” on the third Thursday each November to encourage smokers to quit. Today is the Great American Smokeout of 2015 and I was invited by a friend to join her blog series, “An Author’s Journey,” to tell a short version of my journey to quit smoking and become a published author.
